THE ARTISTS - BRIEF BIOGRAPHIES Cliodhna Ryan is a scholar and first class honours graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, London and continued her studies in Dallas as a Fullbright Scholar. She is a recipient of awards from the Martin Musical Fund and the Countess of Munster Trust and many prizes, including the Roth Prize for top final recital from the Royal Academy of Music. She performs regularly with the City of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra, the London Philharmonic Orchestra and the European Community Chamber Orchestra as well as being a member of the Irish Chamber Orchestra. She is much in demand as a solo recitalist and chamber musician in top festivals and venues across Europe. Cian O'Duill studied at the Cork School of Music, the Royal Academy of Music, London and recently completed an MA at the University of Limerick under Bruno Guirranna. He has performed as a soloist and recitalist across Ireland and the UK. Cian was a founder member of the Regent String Quartet who appeared at many festivals and music societies around England. Cian also performs regularly as a chamber musician as well as being a member of the Irish Chamber Orchestra. Clare O'Connell is a graduate of Wadham College, Oxford and the Royal College of Music completing her studies with Alexander Baillie at the Hochschule fur Kunste in Bremen, Germany. She has broadcast on Radio 3 and performed for H.R.H. the Prince of Wales at Sandringham. She is a founder member of the dynamic young chamber ensemble CHROMA with whom she has performed to critical acclaim at the Purcell Room, the Warehouse, London and Bridgewater Hall,Manchester, as well as many festivals around the country. The Rothko String Trio's engagements to date include concerts in venues across the UK. In July 2003, they were invited to perform at the prestigious Killaloe International Music Festival and were broadcast on Lyric FM. They have been rapturously received by audiences and excited great interest from promoters and festivals. Their combination of finesse, outstanding musicianship and energy has inspired composers such as Allisdair Stout, Raymond Yiu and Graham Williams to write works specifically for the group. World premieres of these works are part of the trio's exciting 2003-2004 recital series. Forthcoming concerts include recitals at Jackson's Lane Theatre, London and four extensive tours of Ireland as well as invitations to perform in 2005 at venues and festivals throughout the UK and Ireland.
